On Monday 12th February the local group will host Gary Farmer, manager of The Vale Landscape Heritage Trust. In his illustrated talk, the naturalist will discuss the changing fortunes of Worcestershire’s wildlife, examining species that have been disadvantaged and others that have seemingly benefited from the current climate.
The group of volunteers are pleased to get events running again, thanks to the formation of a new committee.
Viv Chandler, the new chair of Bromsgrove Local Group, commented “We’re delighted to be running events again, where people can meet and learn more about wildlife and conservation.
“From inspiring talks to ambles through local countryside, we hope that individuals can join us and share our passion for the natural world.
“We’re a newly formed group of volunteers, excited to be running our first event. If there’s anyone else out there who’d like to join us and help to inspire residents across our area about wildlife, please get in touch.”
The talk, which is open to everyone, will be held from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Amphlett Hall, Crown Close off Market Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8DW. There is a small £2.50 entry fee, which will include refreshments.
Bromsgrove Local Group will be hosting other walks and talks in the future. Individuals can discover these events, along with others across Worcestershire, by visiting the ‘What’s On’ page on Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s website.
