Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is opening its gates to families wishing to take part in its Spooky Spells Welly Walk on Monday 28th October. Children and parents can discover more about the natural world as they follow a trail around Lower Smite Farm looking for ingredients to complete their spells.
Sadie Carr Simons, organiser of the event, explained “Although autumnal colours are beautiful, we all need a bit of an excuse to pull on our coats and wellies and head outside at this time of year.”
“We’re encouraging families to come and discover conkers, acorns and other autumn treasures of the natural world. Children will have wands that they can turn into a wonderful autumn decoration to take home and feed the birds.
“Whilst it’s not compulsory, we’d love everyone to get into the spooky spirit and we’re looking forward to seeing what Halloween costumes arrive at the farm.”
