We have developed an exciting programme linked to the new curriculum. All of our programmes are designed to inspire learning about wildlife, plant growth and habitats through a mixture of enquiry-led learning and games.
Our Key Stage 3 programme is based at Lower Smite Farm where we have three large indoor classrooms and a variety of wildlife habitats including woodland, meadows and ponds.
To book a visit email marissa@worcestershirewildlifetrust.org or call 01905 754919.
If you have specific needs, please give us a call to discuss how we can tailor a programme for your class.

Pollinators and Interdependence
What do wild pollinators and humans provide for each other to ensure each other’s survival?
Meet your leader for the day and we will dive into the important stuff straight away. We will answer the question what is great about apple crumble and who helped make the different ingredients? Could it be pollinators?
- Get thinking about why healthy connected ecosystems matter and how they support pollinator survival. This learning is through a fast paced team game that also encourages your pupils to listen and work together.
- What makes your pollinator great? Explore anatomy and adaptation by making your own pollinator models.
- Then head out to one of our restored wildflower meadows. What have humans put back into this habitat to help pollinators? Carry out a plant survey and a FIT survey identifying different pollinators (if weather allows).
- Finally report back. Recap what has been learnt with a quick and fun evaluation game in your class group.
Thanks again to you and all the staff at the farm! The feedback from students has been really positive and we felt that the students responded well to the activities.Bredon Hill Academy
